I suppose Davey doesn't want to press his luck with Call against a starter like Eovaldi, but I prefer his patience and D. Really need to see Garrett soon, and when Wood is ready, him

A choice between 4 for 9 or 6 for 70 is not a matchup or lefty/righty situation.  Call's been swinging a hot bat and to platoon him like this only reveals the dysfunctional decision making that permeates this org.

I know they are hoping Rosario will catch fire so they can flip him…but at some point they need to accept reality.

Send Rosario to Rochester to see if he can hit the way he did last year. Let him play every day. Rochester has Wood, but the rest of their outfielders are "never were" players.

what happened with Eovaldi? Did he finish a pitch funny or shake his arm?

Parker has gotten wild. Good to pull him, although maybe not good for Parker's stats. Two runners on and Jacob "The Adventure" Barnes taking over.

OK. JBarnes did what he had to do. Still only a 3 run game.

Keibert can hit. And will hit the rest of the season.

crazy how the offense has gone ice cold since leaving Miami. Maybe the Marlins' pitchers aren't very good?

Weems will pitch the 8th and since we are not scoring in the 8th or 9th we won’t need to see Rainey implode

I'm good with pulling him after 1 inning. Let him get the confidence boost from the good appearance.

Yep, kudos for the Nats doing what they've done with the lineups they're putting out there but we need some reinforcements.

Should have left Weems pitch the 8th but we aren’t scoring in the 9th so it is a moot point.

nah, get him back to a 1 inning guy with some success. MBarnes is the 7th guy in the pen at this point. I only expect him to succeed about 2 out of  every 3 appearances.
Prior to today, MBarnes had given more than 1 run (Earned or unearned) in 2 appearances.
