They have nothing to lose. The coaches in that organization won't put up with his crap and neither will the players in the locker room. He will probably be on his best behavior (if that's even possible for that head case) and it should be cheap. Plus they can cut him at any time without it setting them back.
they probably think it is Moss 2.0. Sometimes this stuff doesn't work, but it works often enough for them to try it. Heck, he can't be worse than Aaron Hernandez. They did this with Corey Dillon too and it worked out. Sounds more like Elijah Dukes with the kids . . .
I was just exchanging emails with some of the guys I watch Pats games with, and it is at least the 3d time they've signed a guy who managed to get himself kicked off his old team after making the squad. LeGarrette Blount did it with Pittsburgh and won a ring with us (and another with Philly ~) ) and Marty Bennett pulled this stunt on Green Bay by "Retiring" last year. Not to mention Ben Watson retiring, then signing a week later this offseason.
