Pitching duals are more fun when you're at the ball park

3 run bomb.  I wish we could do that every once in awhile.  Does anybody really think we have 4 runs in us tonight against Pedro?  I don't.  In fact, this is setting up for an ugly sweep.  We had our chances last night.  Damnit.

O-V-E-R.  Oh well, at least there won't be any heartache tonight and I won't get emotionally invested.

Who is this guy pretending to be Livan Hernandez? He's not been the same pitcher since he threw a fit and threatened to call it quits a few weeks ago...

Baseball's a quirky thing...you never know.  But you're right, it's not looking very good for us tonight.

The Mets with 1,000 stolen bases this year have hit two 3 run homers against our ace in less the last 2 innings.  Why can't we ever lay a beat down on somebody other than the Rockies.

To be honest, I would rather lose 8-0 than 1-0.  No woulda, coulda, shoulda's tonight.

Livan should be made to walk back to the dugout with his pants at his ankles and sucking his thumb.

I agree, blowouts are a lot easier to take than close games. I only wish the Nats were on the winning side of a few.

They are easier to take as long as you don't have too many of 'em

LOL.  We should make Wilkerson do that after strikeout as well.  In fact, every time a hitter does not get a runner home from 3rd with less than 2 outs we should make this mandatory (although we must be prepared to see this 4 times a night).

I'm sorry guys...I love Livan just as much as the next guy.  He's a great player and an inning vacumn (usually).  But I'm pretty confident that John Patterson is now our ace.

I'm gonna watch the As play the Royals tonight.  See if the guys in blue can break their losing streak.

Now the losing streak has reached 19 straight games with a 4-0 loss to the Athletics, and the Royals will give right-hander Mike Wood his third chance to stop the skid.

Wood will make his third start since shifting from the bullpen to the rotation. Wood pitched for the A's in 2003, going 2-1 with a 10.54 ERA in seven games, including one start.

They are sending this guy up against Barry Zito.  If they lose tonight they will be one away from the MLB record for most losses in a row.  Remember life could always be worse.   8)
