There has been a lot of criticizm of Darling on here and elsewhere but I learn something from him every time I watch a game.  He knows the game and that's what is important.

I'll let you guys in on something.  I've done some professional speaking.  It's not as easy as it would seem.  I like Darling.  Have from the get go.  He's a little dry, but he's interesting.

Two hits so far. Looks like the offense is taking a rest after two days of heavy hitting. Being in Japan is impossible to look at nats games live, are they at least trying?

I am in Kumamoto on Kyushu island, the most southern of the Japanese islands (if you disregard Okinawa). They actually have a good baseball team on the island - Fukuoka Softbanks Hawks - where currently Tony Batista plays.

Our last three outs took six pitches.  If you keep the bat on your shoulder and make him throw strikes it would take at least 9 pitches!

Good point! It's not likely that swinging at everything you see is going to be the answer. Make him throw pitches and get to the bullpen.

Batista plays there?  Wow.  That's interesting.  I'm in the Reserves and was in Tokyo last year.  It also seems in the past 5 years about 40% of the women I've dated are Asian.

Cool! Man Tokyos is BIG, comming from a small town in Sweden talk a about feeling lost. I've seen Batista play a couple of times this year and he is doing pretty good.

Joebee, I love baseball.  My greatest baseball experience ever was taking my two sons to williamsport, Pennsylvania and watching the Little League World Series.  We watched allot of international baseball over the 4 days we were there.
