THIS DAY WITH THE '05 OVERACHIEVERS: Sunday 17th July 2005, Tomo Ohka, just recently acquired from the Nationals by the Brewers for Junior Spivey, came back to haunt his old team, pitching seven strong innings for a 5-3 win at Milwaukee - Brewers win the series 3-1...record now 53-39...

How times have changed...had Valdespin's pinch-hit go-ahead homer happened two years ago the Nats would have slunk out of the ballpark with their tails between their legs. Good to see some character and comeback ability in this team for a change, clawing back to win...and good to see someone else letting runs in on wild pitches.
Further 'how times have changed'...so few Mets supporters in the stands last night (there was one a couple of sections to my right who kept going 'let's go Mets' because he hates the Yankees, and a few behind their dugout)...back in RFK days they were the prime invaders among division rivals.
