I'd like to thank George McPhee for trading a high prospect and potential NHL rookie of the year for a crappy 4th liner / healthy scratch / filler piece.

Wouldn't have mattered.

Trade Ovechkin.

I bet we get to double OT and lose on some fluky crap.

May as well double down on the heartbreak.

You were right! Lost on a fluky goal. Just one OT, though. Way to go!

Wouldn't have mattered.

Trade Ovechkin.

Ovechkin had the lone goal last night.  Trade Backstrom.  Backstrom was a zero in this series.  He hasn't had a productive postseason since the days of Boudreau.  Enough is enough with that guy.  The same could be said of Mike Green.

Damn. I'm really only upset that I don't get to watch more caps this year. Not so much about how or why we lost. The rangers were the top team in the league. The mtl, pit, tb, and previous series losses were much harder to take. In all the others besides pit, on paper the caps should have won. This was just losing to a pretty good team, though we played well enough to win (bogus goal disallowal). Losing to the isles would have sucked.

A couple tweaks and we should be better next year. Maybe lose some guys like brouwer and give Wilson a real shot on a higher line.

I'm ok with Mike green but if last night was his last game here I'm ok with it. If he is back it better be for a bargain.

I wonder what we could get for holtby. Trading him would be ballsy. Gotta be more than the varly haul
