If Hanrahan is the closer for this team on Opening Day 2009 we know we are freaked and will have a repeat season of 2008.

How's this for embarrassing, ronnynat?

I don't get embarrassed for sports teams or for being a fan of a sports team. That'd be sad.

Are we so bad that we should just expect to get swept in every series from here on out? Even bad teams win 1 out of 3 or 1 out of 4. We have had two losing streaks of 7+games in the last 3 weeks.  Awful.

You don't think it's embarrassing for them to lose 7 in a row and get swept at home by the hated Mutts? Glad I didn't go to any of the games. Must be hell to hear all of those freaking NY fans talk trash.

Nope he blew it tonight.  But when you have Belliard playing behind you, every pitch has to be perfect.  Our defense is far worse than our pitching.

Talent-wise, our offense has a D- rating at best. Every win that we get feels like luck.

EB draws another walk. He appears to be rebounding. He's been on base 5 times in the last 2 games.

that's like saying a winning streak might be exciting for them, but not for you.

This is true, IMO. I have A LOT of patience. This team is still in its baby faze.

any updates on Ronnie being dealt? i actually wouldn't be that heartbroken because it'll be exciting to watch him help the Dodgers win the west and aid them in October along with his buddy Manny.

I don't care what anyone says, getting swept at home anytime is an embarrassment. What a bullcrap team.

At least we have the greatest young pitcher in the planet to look forward too. It makes all of the losing a little easier to take:

4 Years and nothing better than 4th place in the division. That's disgusting. Where's the progress? We seem to be regressing rapidly. Compete for WC or bust next season. If they get off to another poor start next year look for attendance to go down the tank. Interest in the team will hit an all time low.

Baby faze = building a farm system. Regardless of how patient you are, you have to be willing to let the team develop w/ its young major leaguers and through the farm system. We have to give good free agents a reason to come here and we have to have the pieces to trade for better players where it won't kill our farm system.

It's tough, but we have to have patience as fans.
