normal defensive alignment at 3rd, DH, and 1st. Rosario gets a reward of another start vs a righty after an OK (?) day yesterday.

Ghost Mears at Talk Nats picks apart the decision yesterday to play Lipscomb at 1st. More or less, it's not experiment time for him there, and clearly he needs work. This is what the minors is for. Defense cost a winnable game, and the alignment was off all the way around.

Add in some overlooked plays, like Garcia not flipping the ball to Abrams for the easier DP and instead taking it himself and throwing the jump throw behind the bag to lipscomb, who couldn't tag 1st, wasn't an E officially but was very costly.

This Nats team on MASN right was arguably our best.

They could be in second inning already. Dumb rain delay.

Yet another dave blunder...it makes no sense moving people all around the diamond and batting order as much as he does...and he does this all the time...dumbass...

It was a fair experiment if 15 games under .500 in August. It was dumb for a .500 team in May.

Jayson Werth's horse, Dornoch, finished 10th at the Kentucky Derby 2024, much better than expected. He had won a race to qualify.
 :horse:

Dornoch is coming off a fourth-place finish at Blue Grass Stakes in early April. Here's a full look at how Dornoch has performed in recent races:

Maiden Special Weight (7/29/23 at Saratoga) — 2nd
2023 Sapling (8/26/23 at Monmouth Park) — 2nd
Maiden Special Weight (10/14/23 at Keeneland) — 1st
2023 Remsen (12/2/23 at Aqueduct) — 1st
2024 Fountain of Youth (3/2/24 at Gulfstream Park) — 1st
2024 Blue Grass Stakes (4/6/24 at Keeneland) — 4th

Dumbest rain delay since like 2011 when they cancelled the Pirates game a few hours early and the weather turned out beautiful
