As far as tv shows ... my favorite recently:

How I Met Your Mother, Entourage, Californiacation, 24, and Life (the lead red head from band of brothers).

FWIW, I didn't mind Cloverfield.

I used to like Entourage a lot as well.  Although, recently I have started to falter on it a bit.  It is way too predictable for my tastes.  I love the characters and cameos; thats what keeps me watching.

As for Cloverfield.  I like movies that make you figure stuff out, but I don't like movies that don't give you enough info to create a reasonable explanation.  There was just way too many gaping holes in Cloverfield, poor character development and pretty crappy special effects, IMO (besides those little bug creatures).  It seemed like Abrams tried to get away with some things that you can do in a television series, that you can't do in a movie.

The Office is great too.  Steve Carrell is a comedic genius.

I used to be pretty much the same, until I started watching the HBO series (Sopranos, Entourage, Curb Your Enthusiasm).  I pretty much refuse to watch anything that has commercials and only got into Lost and the Office because I was given the DVDS as gifts.  After watching the first season of each series, I decided to buy the rest of the seasons.

And Bergmann walks the first batter.... dude needs to go see a psychiatrist or something, because he has some mental issues on the mound.

Place your bets gentlemen.

I heard lost is a good show though. I watched the first episode and it looked interesting but I never followed up on it. I spend enough time watching sports as it is.

Potomac-Myrtle (6th):  Potomac hasn't hit a ball out of the infield since Martinez's single in the top of the third.  Lefave leads off the inning with more inefficiency, a groundball to first base.  Brown (0-2) breaks the hitting drought with a blooper to left center.  Plasencia (0-2) rails one back to the pitcher, who fires the ball low to the second baseman, but the tag is still applied to Brown, Plasencia safe at first.  King (0-1, BB) hits one to the SS Hicks, who makes a seemingly great play to get Plasencia.  I guess that is why he was a midseason All-Star for the Pelicans.

Kyle Gunderson takes over for Osvaldo Rodrigues in the bottom of the sixth.  Gunderson comes in and pretty much puts a muzzle on the Pelican bats for the inning.  He was able to take early leads in his counts and force the batters to hit his better pitches for groundouts/fouls.

I never watched Lost until the beginning of this past season. I watched the entire season 4 (half not knowing what was going on) after only have watched the 1 HR review show before Season 4's premier.

I was so confused after the end of the season that I decided to watch every single episode online over the Summer since they are all available online for free in HD-quality on ABC's site. Well, I just finished a few weeks ago. Man that was a blast.

While watching all of the episodes I would also read all of the posts of a great "Lost" thread on the Caps board. They had a bunch of people that watched show and talked about every episode dating back to the very first one. Definitely helped me understand all of the things I wasn't sure of.

This must be a large beach. I think Bergmann's dream is to be on Baywatch.

Let's face it, this would be a huge upgrade over Debbi Taylor.
