that was a wild roller-coaster loss.

Charlie's choke job sucked the life out of the bats. great decision Manny!

Ayala shutting it down just adds insult to injury.

I hate Church too but at least he was an OK player here. Ayala was statistically one of the worst relievers in the league this year and then POOF, he gets traded to the Mets and then decides to start pitching like he gives a crap. Have no respect for dudes like that. He turned his back on the organization that was so good to him for years. freak him.
He hasn't had any jerk soundbytes yet like Church.  Church whined about not getting enough playing time when he was allowed to start nearly all last year and was pretty much average during that opportunity.  At least Ayala isn't whining about getting shafted by the Nats or something.

He's counting his lucky stars every day, that he got moved from a LAST place team to a FIRST place team.

what pains me is, we could've broke the game WIDE OPEN in the 4th. we scored 5 but it could've been much more. Figueroa was terrified of Dukes so he walked him on 4 pitches and then Boone grounded into a double play.

Yep. Boone, a normally aggressive free-swinger, took a 1-0 meatball BP fastball right down the freaking middle of the plate. He could have easily smacked that ball for a Sac Fly if not base hit. Figures that he would swing two pitches later at a ball right on his knuckles. We are in dire need for a starting 1B-Man. Not acquiring one in the off-season would be a huge let down. To go into next season with any of NJ, Young, Casto, or Boone as your starting 1B-man would be disastrous.

I knew it was just a matter of time before AZ, er, tomterp showed up to show off his Church wood.

Is he your brother or something?

:bang: GTFOH. Church is an a-hole.
