Finally. And yea, Lannan isn't more than a #2 or #3.

I can't believe how bad and unclutch he has pitched tonight. Way, way too many mistakes in crucial situations. The pitch location/selection tonight has been the worst I've seen all year.

Part of it MAY be that he's wearing down. If so, that should improve each year until he is strong enough to be solid for 200+ innings.

No matter what people around here say, whether they insist Lannan is a better man than  they are, I don't think Lannan is much more than a number 3.
Because of 1 poor start late in the season against a hot Mets offense?

Hamels got his ass whipped by this very Mets' team just two days ago: 5 IP 9 H 5 R 5 ER 2 HR 1 BB 6 K.  :?

He's definitely wearing down I think. His stuff looks pretty solid and he's throwing a lot of strikes but his location is very lacking. Too many mistakes down the middle.

I will agree that currently he's pitching like number 2 though.

First of all, you're the last person that should be bringing this up.   Secondly, half of his last 8 starts have been Bergmann-esque. Also, I believe I'm on record stating this as my opinion from a while back. This is not just a reaction to 1 bad outing.

Lannan's success is hinged directly on his control, which is not good tonight.

Damn, Lannan's about to get taken out, which I don't understand unless Manny or St. see something we don't. Estrada is no better.

And Lannan's out after 3. Any other time Manny would let the pitcher stay in the game and bunt the runners over.

Hope this move pays off. Come on AlGo!

I saw a pitcher that was throwing too many hittable pitches.

I see that every time Estrada takes the ball.

I'm not down on Lannan. I would be if I thought he was a stud like some people here seem to think. But he's a nice number 3 or 4.

GREAT HIT!!!! This feels like last year's end of the year games against the Mutts. They'd be blowing us out and then we'd come back like a bat out of hell!

Looks like JimBo may have been a little hasty in anointing Bonifacio the starting 2B next year.
