Good job, Shell!

Nice, quality win for the Nats. Dukes and Zimmerman are going to be All Stars for years to come.

Hopefully this off season we dont add anymore garbage to this team aka Estrada and Lo Duca players. Getting rid of Lopez and Ayala were gem ideas for this team.

I'd like to see them give Shell a trial run in the set-up role for the rest of the year. We know what Rivera is - a good reliever with nasty stuff who doesn't give up home runs, but even he has no idea where his pitches are going to end up. I liked him much better as the 6th/7th inning flex guy. I think Shell has earned a shot at more responsibility by his ERA alone.

5 HOMER NIGHT! 2 LASER HOMERS COURTESY OF DUKES!

Dukes = bona fide beast and a future 40/40 force

Zimmerman = best young player in baseball

both will make their all star debuts next yr. Dukes will be the HR Derby Champ. he'll put Hamilton to shame. soon the baseball world will recognize the unmatched talent he possesses!

no doubt in my mind Dukes is the strongest player in baseball. MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL HAS NEVER SEEN A PHYSICAL SPECIMEN LIKE ELIJAH DUKES.

RIGHT NOW, THE BEAST IS JUST PREPARING HIMSELF FOR A BREAKOUT SEASON IN 09!

Honestly, the stuff you say amuses me just because of how ridiculous it is, but for real, how much do you touch yourself at night to come up with this crap?

I'm not soiling my undies until he has a healthy season, but I absolutely love what Dukes brings to this team. I think he can hit in the 2, 3, and 5 spots in the lineup with the talent he has. He's got a great arm in the outfield, and has shown a good eye at the plate most of the year. Chalk one up for Bowden, so far (hurts me to say that).

You're still way over the top, but he's definitely the brightest spot in the Nationals lineup.

lol yea, Dukes is awesome though. He will be pretty badass, not that he isnt now.

I get happy when he comes around in the lineup because its fun to see what he does, like its a foreshadow of what he can and will do.

Why do you give everyone these openings?

3... 2... 1...

Only you hope to contain him.

Dukes is gonna have the entire baseball world in a frenzy next yr. i can picture it now, ESPN will give Dukes the treatment they gave Hamilton this yr after Dukes makes his all-star debut and destroys the HR derby.

Buddy!  I love your enthusiasm, but you really are a glutton for punishment.  I think we have something in common!

i can't control my excitement. i'm already getting goosebumps about 09, Dukes is gonna have a MONSTER season. this is just a preview/warning of what's on the horizon. a full season of Dukes demolishing baseballs is scary.

scary? Just because our team was afraid to score runs, doesnt mean its necessarily scary.

scary?

the stats Dukes will put up are SCARY. he's a future 40/40 force. 40 homers are gonna be routine for Dukes and 40 steals is feasible.

By the way, I missed the game - too busy watching Rice football overcome a 15-point deficit with 8:00 left in the final quarter, to defeat Memphis 42-35. Unbelievable comeback (TD + TD + 2 pt conversion + interception returned for TD with 40 seconds left)!
