I really like Byrd, he isn't fast but he can hit
who else then me wants him as our leadoff hitter?
i'd rather see sori lead off and byrd/church up 6th behind zimm

soriano would make a terrible leadoff man. .309 OBP and all.
and all that wasted power.....
Soriano is much better suited for the middle of the order. and that is where we need him.
just because he's fast doesn't mean he is well-suited for batting leadoff.
