They gave RZ an error on that play?? What? The ball was in Casto's glove and he dropped it.

Maybe 2 or 3. We've seen this type of early loss WAY too frequently. Unacceptable.

This is what top teams are supposed to do to the worst team in baseball. I've accepted that fact. This season is now 100% about our young guys progressing, unfortunately.

I can't envision how this team wins another game.  Seriously.

Maybe an intrasquad game?

Bernadina just homered. He has been awesome since being sent down. I think he is really motivated to return to the Big Leagues. After all, he declined playing for the Netherlands Olympic team because he wanted to work his way back up here.

His numbers (including tonight) in Columbus: 23/60 (.383), 5 Doubles, 1 Triple, 2 HRs, 10 RBIs, 12 Runs, 8 BBs, 14 Ks, 7 SBs, 0 CS.

If ever he was ready...

You've accepted losing 110+ games? I guess I should too. I just thought that this team had more pride than that. Guess not.

I've accepted the fact that this TEAM is not MLB-ready.

As I've posted before, I'm only hoping (praying) that we avoid 120 losses.

Casto is legit. He could be decent here off the bench for the next few years.

Why 120?

And why aren't they? The injury excuse sucks.

Casto scores on the wild pitch! Now that's how you manufacture a run yourself.

The 1962 Mets.

A crappy season is a crappy season, IMO. At the end of the season, 120 losses feels no different than 100.

But it won't be record-breaking bad.  History will forget a 115 loss team.

Injuries, underperforming vets, and young players that aren't quite ready.

It's embarrassing and humiliating. At least there is a small consolation prize in getting the first pick although that doesn't guarantee us anything because the Lerners are cheap jerks.

I don't pay too much attention to that stuff. It's just not that big of a deal to me.

But would you be embarrassed in front of? I don't think anyone gives a crap. And if they do, they are probably pieces of crap themselves.

In a sport as number-centric as baseball, records matter and that's a record you don't want to be associated with in any way.

How is Lannan's slider that close in speed to his fastball? I guess he could probably throw it faster if he wanted to.
