mother freaker. weak pop up. Beyond frustrating. This is a joke. 7 runs (5 homers) one night and then the next night against one of the worst pitchers in the NL we can't even muster 1 solitary run.

Snell at 91 pitches.

I'm waiting for the relevance of Snell's pitch count.

Belliard looks like he is almost back to normal. Got to stay consistent with the rest of the team.

Dammit, a two-run lead shouldn't seem so insurmountable!

Well, seeing how he is dominating us, his night is about to come to an end.  We probably can't touch there bullpen either, but who knows.

Especially against the Pirates and Ian Snell.

because in reality our offense is terrible. the nights that we score 0 or 1 run (after being down by 5 or 6) is what we are capable of. once every 10 games we will score a bunch of runs. and on that night our pitchers will be as forgiving as theirs and we'll lose or win by a run. almost everyone of our last 12 wins (during which we are 12-22) we could have easily lost.

Quality Start for Lannan.

the offense needs to start doing what they get paid to do.

A quality start from Lannan and he has no chance to get a win.

Nice outing by Lannan.

He has given up 3 earned runs or fewer in 5 straight starts (4 out of 5 were "quality starts").

I think Snell can still go one more inning.

Lannan has pitched the equivalent of 7 innings tonight because of the spotty defense "supporting" him. crap he isn only at like 90 pitches so he could go one more but since we're down by what seems like a dozen we need a pinch hitter (as if that will help).
