I can't imagine how it must feel to lose to us.

Blowing a 4 run lead to the worst offense in baseball... :)

Yes you do, and yes we did.

Not only just a "W", but one that was actually exciting, and full of surprises (good ones).    :woop:

Yes, we had the requisite blowing of the game by the Ayala, but who thought we'd come back on Capps?

And we got some offense from guys that we need to step up.  As a fan, you always hope the breakout is for real.  But Belliard, Dukes, Milledge, and Dmitri all had great games.  Guzman was his regular 2 hits per game.  Not just the win, but an exciting way to do it.  Whew.

Good interview by Lastings. I have been and still am a little skeptical of him on the field but I hope he succeeds here and is our CFer for a long time. He's a good dude.

You'd better LOCK THAT THREAD before we all go in and MODIFY that answer.  (I misunderstood the question.)

We all need to chip in to get AZ some Bazooka High Tops:

WHAT A GAME! Magnificent job by Jon Rauch.

HUGE PROPS TO MILLEDGE AND DUKES FOR NOT GIVING UP WITH 2 OUTS AND US DOWN BY 1 IN THE 9TH. THAT'S THE MOST HEART I'VE SEEN FROM THIS TEAM IN A LONG TIME.

It's looks pretty clear that the young core of this team is made up of Zimmerman, Flores, Milledge, and Dukes. BTW, Dukes's 2008 season stats with 2 outs and RISP and late in close games are sickly good.  Milledge's have not been, but tonight helps the cause. It is games like this that make the case for playing the young, talented hungry guys that have the most upside.

As much as Zimmerman had been struggling, it is a shame that both he and Johnson went down. With the regular play for these young guys, one can only hope that these other guys return after the AS break and we can see something develop over the remainder of the season. It will be a shame if Kearns comes back and Dukes ends up being benched to give Pena regular at bats.

I'm almost certain that will not happen.

If it means we win the rest of them. I'd donate.

I might actually get some restful sleep tonight due to this win.

Can they do it again tomorrow? Errrrr...we'll see. But the Nats and Bucs games this year have been great to watch even though some of them don't go our way.

Night everyone.

I'd donate even if it was like 2 out of every 3 :)

We'd win 90 games at that rate :D

Belliard, Dukes, and Milledge should all PAY Air Zimmerman to be their personal assistant and sit in the dugout.  Belliard would have 198 home runs in 2008 at this rate, even after being on the bench AND the DL for so long...  They could always fire him if his luck wears off...

It's funny how some only have something to say when we're doing poorly. It's pretty pathetic, IMO.

Great game offensively! We needed that crap.
