Seriously though that goes to show you what a competitor he is.  He hasn't thrown off a mound since his start in Baltimore, so he's working off some rust.  And you're dealing with - as sportsfan accurately calls - a jack@$$ of an umpire.

The fact he gave us five innings of two run ball (with what 5 or 6 k's) ... I'll take it.  Get this guy some runs and give him a win!!!

Come on guys...get Hill this win...he deserves it! If he didn't have a crappy ump he'd be pitching shutout ball.

Same predictable offense. They flounder several opportunities early in the game and then they just mail it in for the rest of the game.

Dmitri should not be starting let alone batting in the 4 spot.

Cut it out guys. The ump may have missed a couple of pitches but the reality is that Hill lost his release point in the 3rd and the complete meltdown cost us. You can't expect to be out of the strike zone as much as Hill was in that inning and blame it all on the umpire. Hill messed up and walked too many batters that inning.

Did you see the pitch that he got squeezed on? I am not blaming Hill for those 2 runs at all. It was right down the middle, man. It's not like it was a tough call or on the corners or anything, it was right down the pipe.

Yes, Hill lost his control that inning but with an unbiased umpire behind the plate he's got 5 scoreless innings right now.

Yeah I know the ump missed a couple but Hill was not helping himself by throwing 12 balls in a stretch of 13 pitches.

Nice steal.

Looks like the Mets and the Marlins both lost tonight. I didn't hear anything about the Phillies.

Yeah, I feel like the ump is being inconsistent for both teams, so it's not like they get an unfair advantage, they're just taking advantage.

Other than Boone's first inning homer it's been the same ol' unclutch Nationals offense.  :icon_frown:

Hey did you see how that POS Greene tried to get hit by the pitch before striking out?

When a pitch down the middle is called a ball, and the next pitch is a 2-run single, you can fault the ump. The problem was that Hill put himself in that situation with the walks.

The Mets beat the Marlins. Philly won again. The Rockies are rolling over for them.

That play on Lopez' drive cost us a run. Of course squandering Guzman's second double was typical Nats and will come back to bite us in the ass.

It is an unfair advantage. The blown call against us cost us 2 runs and maybe the game. Our 2 runs were fair and square from a double and a Home Run.

Yeah I meant the Braves lost instead of the Mets.
