This guy is lighting up AAA...6 innings of one-hit ball his last start.

Does he get the first call-up for a starter? Sub-3.5 ERA and a 3.8-1 S/K ratio is great.

If (when) Hill goes to the DL or one of the other starters falters Mock is the next in line to get called up. He's got a nice fastball and a sick curve. Plus he has very good control and doesn't walk many batters at all.

I'm glad to see him doing well. [Haven't payed attention to our minor leaguers much so far] He was great for Arizona but after he got traded for Livan he has been just average. Hopeful he can continue to dominate. That would make the Livan trade a pretty good deal. Chico showing that he CAN potentially be a major league starter.

Only 2 his and 1 walk allowed and he had 9 Ks too!!

His up to date numbers in AAA on the season: 56 IP 56 H 22 R 19 ER 5 HR 12 BB 47 K (2-2, 3.05 ERA, 1.21 WHIP).

He has only given up 1 run and 3 hits in his last two starts spanning 13 innings.

I remember being really impressed by Mock in his outing against Baltimore in the exhibition at Nationals Park. He's got a low 90s heater and a ridiculous curve ball.  This kid is legit.

Me too.  I've seen him throw a couple times and he's pretty impressive.  Looking back at his struggles with this organization a while back, you can attest those to his injuries.  He's healthy now and he's mowing down opponents.

As big of a Balester fan that I am, Mock should be the first one called up when the club needs a starter.
