Lester has a no hitter through 8 but he's at 113 pitches. interesting. you can't bring him out for the 9th can you?

Nice hit, Zim!!

Guz is now hitting .307. You can book his ticket for NY to play in the ASG.

I definitely think we need to re-sign him now that Furcal is talking extension w/ the Dodgers.

Dmitri sucked balls tonight.  At least we got a run.

at 113 pitches? I'd understand if he was at 100 or something but 113? That means he'd probably throw 125-130.

Dmitri does the job - not the best in this situation, but he got the run

Pitch counts don't mean crap when you're dealing.

It makes absolutely no sense to not have Boone starting every game somewhere in the field.

Wow, we had runners at the corner and no outs and just a minute later we're out of the inning. Good thing we're up 4.

So what? It may do him some good to test how far he can go. He may learn he can do more than he and others expect out of him. Also, how often do you get a chance to toss a no-hitter.

Boston is up 7-0 so maybe they'll bring him out.  But I wouldn't risk injury to your young starter just for the no-hitter.  But if he can do it then no harm.

Again, Dmitri's fault. But he's so cheerful!

ESPN will be showing the 9th inning so you might as well book it that someone will break it up

100% chance that they let him pitch the 9th.

i like what Dmitri did. a run in the bottom of the 7th put the Nats up by 4 with 2 innings left for the Phillies.  It was more important to get the 4th run than to strike out and let the next batter bat into a DP.

Ryan Howard is sooooooo bad. I don't see him turning it around either. His swing is awful.

It's funny how much more into the game batters are when they pretty much have no chance to come back, but they don't want to be no-hit.
