While using those players, that batting order is awesome.

Has anyone ever seen a team whose OFers bat 7-8-9 in the order?  :-[

A homer, a double, and 2 K's would work for me. Half optimistic, half realistic. :D

Once again I find myself secretly hoping that one or even two of our slumping "potentials" will wake up and show us something.

Such is the life of a Nats fan :(

How great would it be to have NJ, Dmitri, and Boone (replacing Kearns or Pena) in the same lineup? :(

Btw, did anyone see Dmitri's quote in the Post today saying this was "perfect timing" for him? That kind of pissed me off, but I guess he could have meant something else.

I am just baffled by WMP's struggles.

He was freaking awesome with us last year: .293 AVG/.352 OBP 8 HR 22 RBI in 133 ABs

He was just the type of powerful bat in the lineup that we lacked.

It's not unreasonable to expect that all three of our outfielders will improve substantially, to something resembling normal.  It's taking an inordinately long time, obviously.  But these guys are all so far below even mediocre, that improvement is almost a certainty.

I really really think however that a new approach at the position of hitting coach is needed.  Desperately so.  Now.

Knight for Hitting Coach.  :worship:

He's ripping our hitters apart as I post this.

Yeah, but then you'll have to put up with Phil Wood during the pre/post-game show.

Flores' way of staying back and waiting on pitches reminds me of Dmitri. He's one of the only guys on this team who can hit good offspeed pitches.

well, he's back in the starting lineup...so i can only assume that he had a miraculous awakening after being "benched" so he work on some "technical things".
