Great to have the lead, but all 3 outs by strikeout?  Yuck.

Oswalt with a 20 pitch inning.  That is huge.

For the life of me I can't figure out why Lo Duca starts over our best hitter.

He's their ace. He's not on a pitch count.

Every starter in the league is on a pitch count.  110 pitches at the most.

Not true.

He conveniently forgets all the bad days at the plate with one at bat too.

Nah, he's not. If he's still pitching strong at 120, they'll let him pitch. It's just that normally if you hit 120, you haven't been pitching very strong.

Might as well just start walking him.  It saves on pitch count, and it is a foregone conclusion.

I would agree with that, but it makes your pitching staff look afraid.

Very nice pitch there to get out of it. If he can get ahead, that pitch will definitely help throughout.

Whatever it takes.  We can't get him out, and it keeps him from getting extra base hits.

He basically only hits singles against lefties anyways.
