I hate to say it but I had a feeling our bullpen would give up the lead again. Of course I also had a feeling we would score at least 6 runs tonight :?

That's game.  You don't win when a batter goes 5 for 5.

I've changed my avatar and sig :D....and this game, how its turning out

...us winning, messing it up near the end, then rolling over without a fight in the 9th...it all feels too eerily familiar

lol

Terribly played game from top to bottom from Manny through all the pitchers just giving the game away at every turn. The number of free passes and extra outs was ridiculous.

You don't win when you give away 7 extra baserunners either.

Zimm hard hit ball.  I gotta say though, if Kearns doesn't dive for that ball we're in the bottom of the 9th right now.

Still would have won if Ayala doesn't throw the ball anywhere near where Lee could reach it on 0-2.  Also, one of his hits was a joke because Milledge completely misplayed the ball

We'll probably lose 9 in a row again like what happened last time we lost a heart-breaker.  This team is very fragile mentally.

Let's not forget another thing that cost us BIG. Stupid ass Saul Rivera trying that stupid ass freaking move that never works and giving a horrible umpire the chance to make that call.

He was going for it, but that was not the only problem. Terrible management, terrible pitching, poor OF play. There was enough blame to go around. No one can be blamed for this as an individual. The fact that it was even close was amazing.

Seriously, I've seen that move tried a thousand times, and it has never done anything,

Yep, we looked like the team during the 9-game losing streak rather than the team that has won 9 of 12.  Each of our starting outfielders committed a huge blunder that cost us runs.  Every single one of our pitchers pitched like a scared nag except for Ayala who pitched like a dumb nag. Nieves tells him to be smart on an 0-2 count and he leaves it over the plate in 2 ABs in a row.
