Welcome John.  We actually have a handful of members from upstate that post here from time to time.

Come on down this summer to Nats Park to catch Wang befuddle that powerhouse Yankees lineup!

Looking forward to it,  have to come down in March for the National Marathon but will be down later for baseball.

I go down every year and take in a series.

My wife just spent her birthday near Bath  - huge bash with her girlfriends.  They stayed in Waterloo and toured the wine country all weekend.

Beautiful country.  And Ithaca's nice too.

GO BIG RED!

Welcome Tribe Time and John.

I saw the Tribe play Baltimore in old Municipal Stadium while in college.  They split a doubleheader!  I guess Im aving myself if I mention Joe Charboneau and Duane Kuiper!

Any person who defects from the Yankees to the Nationals is especially welcome in my book!  ;)

Hello, John. I live in NYC, and have for about 40 years, but I grew a Nats fan and never gave up. Yankees are my alternate team, especially the classic late-90s Yankees. Bernie, Jeter, Hip-Hip Jorge, Paulie, Mo, and even Brosius...an underrated guy who merely made the plays and got hits when all the pressure was on. It's hard to feel the same attachment to the latest Yankees, although I like Gardner and Cano.

If you can get to Harrisburg, the Senators should have an interesting team. The high-A Potomac Nats have been good, and a few fan-favorites should graduate to Harrisburg. Keep an eye on Destin Hood and Eury Perez, just for two OFs. The "second wave" of young pitchers should be moving up to AA. Further, the games are inexpensive and the seats are all great. We sat behind a dugout (second row) and could see the sweat on players' faces as they came off the field.

Syracuse? This might not be their year, since three good young pitchers and "the catcher of the future" were traded to Oakland for Gio. There is enough pitching depth in the organization that it shouldn't hurt.

Check the Minors sub-section for players to note.

Hi all.  Lifelong Pirate fan, now living in NoVa.  Love baseball and commiting a little bit of sports bigamy by rooting for the Nats, except when they play the Buccos.  Saw a lot of postseason ball in Pgh in the '70s...just bit the bullet on a partial plan and hope to see some playoff games here soon!

Welcome.
This morning one or more posters suggested trading Bryce Harper for Andrew McCutcheon.

Hey Bucco!  Welcome to the board!  Sorry, one of my worst memories is hearing "We are Family" on the radio.  Unlike many, I rooted for the Os when my Senators left in '71.  1979 was Not a good year.  When you go to school 30 miles east of Cleveland and 60 miles west of Pittsburgh; life is rough with western PA guys teasing you!  I was proud to wear my Orioles bird capuntil we lost 3 in a row!  >:(

You're not a Pens fan too are you? ;)

Hey all, college sophomore, lifelong DC sports fan. Became a total Nats fan after attending my first game in 2008. Decided to pick up a season ticket package this season for the first time. Probably gonna lurk on here most of the time, but I thought I'd introduce myself.

I got a couple of seats in 106 Row C. Pretty sweet as those outfield seats are my favorite.

Hi - I feel a little funny introducing myself, since as far as I'm concerned, I've been here a long time.  I've been lurking the board for months and months and finally got round to having a handle.  I read all 200+ pages of Fielder, know why Azzclown is an azzclown, and fear the DINOSAUR IN A freakING TRASHCAN!

Anyway, I've been a fan since '05 and followed the team through the late '05 swoon, the dark years and now to the "legitmately frisky possible contender."

I'll keep my SSS v. LAC allegiances to myself - I'm waiting to see what I get in terms of free agent offers.

Anyway, hi.

It is not SSS v LAC.  There are SSS members who are LAC.  It is SSS v. LOD, and LAC v. LANC.  Then there is the LAI (Lerners are Incompetent), and Nathan, who is LMPBCOI, or something like that.  You'll get the hang of it - Welcome LostYudite
