Good play, NJ.  I don't know if I'd trust Tim to go one more although his pitch count is reasonable.

That's the first 1-2-3 6th inning by Redding all year.

I hope Detwiler enjoys crapzner Stadium because he'll be there all year.

Yep, he'll be there next year too until he starts to pitch better.  He didn't walk as many as he usual does today but he gave up a bunch of hits.  He's not getting as many Ks as I thought he would as well.

At least he cut down on the walks. And one run wasn't his fault, a batter reached on a passed ball strikeout by the catcher Brad Peacock. IMO, it should have been unearned.

Whoever pointed out that Atlanta was beating Cincinnati 7-0 should now take note that Atlanta is still beating Cincy, but only 8-6, in the fifth inning... Bronson Arroyo gave up 7 in the second inning, but then Tom Glavine surrendered 4 in the fourth.

In 06', the Pena for Arroyo seemed to be a steal for the Reds, he was pitching as well as Harang. Now it seems like it was pretty even.

Bronson Arroyo is the pitcher most thankful for the existence of Barry Zito.

Yep, he hasn't gotten the benefit of 3 obvious strike calls in this inning alone. All of a sudden the HP umpire decided that he wanted to give the Pirates a chance to come back.

Yeah, it seems like he always allows inherited runners to score.

4 straight games w/o being able to watch my nats have been brutal. blackouts blow. luckily games vs the pirates are the only ones blacked out and when they play the pirates again i'll be there live.
