wow, Lopez killed that ball!!

He's a pretty big guy. If he can consistently get good contact, he can easily hit 20+ homers.

horrible freaking luck.  Guzman drilled it.  Now that inexcusable 3-run shot given up to the #8 hitter looms large. This game should be 3-1.  Nieves dropped a potential 3rd strike.

We have too many lefties.  O'Connor blows.  Pitt should score 10 runs easily.

Don't say O'Connor blows until he proves it.

In the meantime, Gameday is currently starting on Felipe Lopez' at-bat, and Sports Illustrated's box score claims Lannan has returned to pitch again.

My fantasy team is SUNK.

Are in the WNFF head to head or another league?

The top of this inning looks pathetic. Anybody watching? Up to now Lannon looked great. What do you think is the deal?

I agree with you.  He can't be any worse than the bums that we are putting out there every day.

7-1. O'Connor is garbage.

Another league. My starting pitching has been manic-depressive: Brandon Webb and good-day-Lannan on the one hand, and Verlander and bad-day-Lannan on the other.

He depends on his accuracy. It was no where to be found tonight. It happens, but I hope it doesn't happen again for a LONG time.

DUKES IS A FREAKING FREAK!

6'2", 240, BUILT LIKE A LINEBACKER AND BATTING LEAD-OFF! he seriously could be a LETHAL lead-off guy for us, he's got the plate patience.

Me too. Honestly I'm not worried about him big picture because I think he'll stick. I'm more concerned about how Neives is judged at the next roster move.

He'll need to be a lethal #7 hitter first. He needs to consistently hit in the minors first, though.

Yeah. I think Nieves might be toast.

Yeah but that monster couldn't even hit Single A ball consistently. I'm willing to bet that tonight is an offensive fluke.

I have a feeling (not hoping) Nieves will cool WAY down. I don't see him sticking. I do like him as a defensive replacement, though.

You're right. Nieves is not going to be anywhere near this good for 100 games.

not to mention he's a HUGE upgrade in the outfield. his ideal position is center, but it looks like he'll be playing left. dukes by far will be our best defensive outfielder. he's got unlimited range with his freakish speed!
