That was just a beautiful swing by Nick Johnson.  That's why I firmly believe, regardless of the batting average, that he's the best hitter on this team.

What a load of ****.  Redding's 30 and a veteran.  He knows damn well what the plan is.  If not, he should.  I can't believe you're blaming this on St. Claire.
i'm just not as impressed with St Claire as alot of others are. I find that our pitching staff constantly does stupid things

I think his reputation exceeds his ability in some instances (i.e. our pitchers aren't nearly as aggressive as they should be in going after the zone, and they never have been in St. Claire's tenure), but you have to credit the man for consistently having such a patchwork pitching staff with which to work and making the most out of it.  He's done surprising things with very marginal players.

Well, you guys were saying Redding's pitch count after 3 is 60, but Glavine's is right behind - 56.

And Glavine is on a smaller pitch count as well.  They will probably limit him to 80.

Yeah, I'm kind of wondering what team we're watching.

Exciting yes, but out of his slump?

He needs to hit again. And again. And again.

Then we will talk about slumps ending.

Brian McCann is on my fantasy team. I wish Tim would let him single and then get the next guy to GIDP so my team's batting average would go up...

freak damn Redding, can you stop: 1. throwing so many pitches each inning, 2. giving up so many line drives?

Kearns is a really good outfielder.  Real smooth out there.

Maybe the young spark on offense gave Redding a shot in the arm.

Kearns is a really good outfielder.  Real smooth out there.
But you know, he had that one bad game at Dolphin Stadium earlier this year, so Captain Duncecap ensured us all that he's a terrible fielder who should step aside to the GODLY outfielder that is Elijah Dukes.
