I'm surprised Francoeur didn't try to swing at that last pitch.

yaaaaaa, his 3-0 record and 0.56 era def represent being an "old fart".

Your discussions hold no water here.

I didn't say he was a bad old fart. I just said he was an old fart. Nothing wrong with an old fart who performs.

*SIGH* I hate our team being the stepping stool of greatness for other teams and their players.

One day, I will have a real baseball team in my hometown...

It's hard not to applaud Smoltz... he is a great pitcher.  Now knock him out of the game!

My hands seem to have trouble connecting to each other to make the appropriate sound of "clap."

He is a pitching machine....that escaped from the batting cages.

Sad to say, not I.

It could very well be Michael O'Connor who gets called up first.

i remember him. i wasn't a big fan of his when he was up in the bigs two years ago. apparently he's improved since then. it would be nice to see a fresh arm/face.

Zimm still looking awful.  At what point does it not become a slump and become a trend?

If they bring up O'Connor, they better send down a lefty. I'm not okay with having 4 of the same type of lefty in the rotation.
