starting the game thread is invigorating! it's almost like i'm playing out there and i have a direct impact on the game!!!

You need to get away from the computer more often and out to a game or a batting cage. :)

Pena missed a hittable pitch there.  Looks like another frustrating day for the offense.

well, we should win this game by 10 and Perez should throw a 2-hit shutout, Kearns should go 3-4 with a HR and 2 Doubles and Zimmerman should hit a monster 3-run Homer.  because we all know that the person who creates the game thread has a direct effect on the performance of all the players on the team.

At .278, Milledge has the highest batting average on the team for today's starters...

I anticipate that Elijah Dukes will PARACHUTE into the stadium and hit a few home runs to win the game...

Predictable. The umpire squeezes Perez and then Treanor doubles. Now Hanley will lead off next inning if Perez gets Olsen out.

Screw this ump. His inability to ring up the Fish hitters have cost us.

The umpire is screwing us royally. Every time he squeezes Perez it bites us in the ass.

This team is such a joke.

Will anyone on the team hit above .280 this year? I don't think so. Maybe Guzman.

How does Bob Carpenter have a job?  I've never heard someone so bad at judging fly balls.

I hate that. He gets my hopes up ,and then crushed em when he comes to tha realization. Twice, he's done it this game.

He wouldve been a horrible outfielder

Actually, I remember why Carpenter has a job.  Some people here are convinced that he's the greatest announcer ever because he ate hot dogs with them.

Caught a break on the missed call at first, but given what the ump behind the plate is doing, we'll take it.

way to bare down and get the job done, OP.  Come on offense, reward him with some runs.

why the HELL are these idiots at the game in a freaking hot tub when it's 85 degrees in miami??!?!?!

anyways...o-dog is pitching a gem. it should be 0-0 if it wasn't for z-man's uncharacteristic airmail.

Perez is doing a better job of staying in and around the strike zone so far.
