Bob and Don are freaking stupid. Reyes hasn't done anything all year.  His average has jumped 70 points against us tonight.

Ayala serving it up now too. He has been awful.  Can anyone on this team hit or pitch?

It took King and Ayala 1 inning to give up as many runs as Perez did in 6. :?

Has everyone gotten better or have we just gotten progressively worse?

Bob Crapenter said the Nationals have the lowest team batting average in baseball .234.

And the NL East is easily the worst division in baseball.

They will be their own undoing tonight.

No doubt about it. Could you imagine if this team actually just played with half it's potential? We'd be cleaning house in the NL East.

*SIGH* But no.....

So have we figured out what King brings to the team yet? I'm sick of this situational lefty bullcrap.

Okay, I know I promised on page 2 to post nothing but lolcats in this thread, but I've got to break the vow. It's becoming pretty clear that the starting pitching is not the problem. We would all be just plain in awe of the starting pitching right now if our offense scored and if our bullpen were airtight. Case in point: Odie is going to take the rap for this loss because he made one bad pitch that allowed two runs to score in the first of six innings. On most other baseball teams that would be good for a win - and I think if our offense had the balls to just score a few runs, we'd all be happy about how awesome Odie does every time he gives us a start.

Don't take this as me criticizing you, spidernat. It actually sounds like we sure as hell agree. Let's stop carping about starters: the offense is losing our games.

Nice hit CG.  Too bad our relievers just crap the bed.

Heilmann has been toast this year.  I bet we go 1-2-3.

He takes Burger King orders for the team. That is all I can figure. We pay him in large fries.

Flyers score on a penalty shot. Officially over.  The Caps could not have played a worse game.

This WHOLE TEAM is gutless and heartless. Those "scrappy" Nats of yesteryear...don't exist anymore.
