It is Zimmerman that is killing the Nats.  Without knowing the stats, I would say that he has stranded more runners in scoring position than anyone else on the team.  6 RBI's out of the 3 spot is pathetic, especially when two .300+ hitters are heading ahead of you.
Kearns too.

As bad as Perez is he has kept us in the game.  We need to score some runs now.

I was about to comment on that. Maybe we should negotiate now based on his current play, 6 years 12 million seems reasonable :?

True. He could be pitching a perfect game and we still wouldn't be winning.

While the season is certainly no where near over, this is the exact thing we warned him about. Could you imagine how we would be reacting right now if we signed him to a huge contract and he starts sucking this bad?

Terrible. Pelfrey has been awful but he's pitching a shutout.

Pelphrey's ERA is well under 2 on the year.  He would EASILY by the best pitcher we have in the organization.

He's terrible.  We should have 4-5 runs off him tonight already but we stink.

kearns is a joke.  if only the nats still had church.

playing hard or not, kearnsy can't hit with runners in scoring position and often looks slow in the outfield.  nice guy, nice clubhouse guy but he's not clutch at all.
