desperate times call for desperate measures. i say call all up all of our young studs/guns up and either demote/bench/trade everyone not named zimmerman and milledge (since we really have no other options at 2nd we can still start belly at 2b ;)). we need to shake things up and inject some life into this team.

outfield: maxwell, milledge, burgess. then dukes/wmp when they get back.

infield: marrero, belly, gonzalez (what the heck, why not?), zimmerman.

catcher: flores (duh???)

rotation:

1. hill
2. detwiler
3. balester
4. willems
5. mock

we def need to get rid of the dreadful duo of reds we traded for. i'm done with flop and big ears.

I'm done w/ Zimmerman. Trade him for Wright.

Or at least send him to the minors for a couple weeks; he could use a wake up call.

Haha. Good job not responding to what I said. I was just messing w/ you.

The two you mentioned LOVE the DL. They'd be no help here.

seriously though...can anyone disagree that the idea i proposed wouldn't be 10000000000 x more exciting than watching the current team we have?

something drastic needs to be done.

what do we have to lose besides more games? and i legitimately think that the proposed team would be more competitive than our current team. obviously we're not gonna call up all of them, but i think it's time we stop being so cautious and let a few players get a taste of the bigs.

The best rotation we have available right now, IMO, is:

1. Chico
2. Perez
3. Lannan
4. Redding
5. Balester

That's w/out Bergmann because I seriously think he's done as a starter for now, and w/out Hill for obvious reasons.

That rotation SUCKS, but I wasn't expecting it to be very good anyways coming into the season.

Believe it or not, things could be worse.

It's hilarious that you left Belliard in that lineup of 25-and-unders.

i've also come the conclusion that any time one of our pitchers has a great outing it's actually a mirage and a fluke.

we need 1 veteran presence, and 2b is bleak in the minors.

Switch Lannan and Hill.

Why do you want Lannan gone now all of a sudden? Just because of today?

I kept Hill out because he's on the DL. I'd definitely switch him for someone.

See other thread :) Anyway, Bergmann and Lannan and Chico have options, and sending Chico down now is ludicrous

I'd keep Lannan over Balester if that was the only way to get Balester up here b/c Lannan has more-so deserved his shot. We'll see, though. I could definitely see a VERY young rotation here by July.

I see someone pressed it:

So you want to put a AAA team on the field...you are nuts. What happens when these guys get their butts kicked? who do you fall back on? Whose development gets scarred due to that?

Milledge sucked today. Absolutely sucked. Kearns was better in every way. He's got a cannon, he tracks fly ballls way better than Milledge does, and he hit better today. True that Austin left on on the ground in right, but Milledge would never have put a glove on it.

Milledge was a "five tools" guy that left four of them in the dugout. He was awful. That throw from center was embarrasing. He stunk from the plate. He just sucked  in center.

You have to stop your man love for athletic young studs. It's making us all wonder.

Okay, but I was giving him the benefit of the doubt.

Not that there's anything *wrong* with that...

I wouldnt mind goin wiht a youth movement AZ, biut your movemnt was drastic in some spots.

Gonzalez wont be ready for a few years. He's not even an adult yet.

Nor is Willems or Mock. Nor is Burgess.
