Redding ended up having one of the best games of his career, pitching
seven-plus innings and giving up just one hit, as the Nationals blanked the
Phillies, 1-0, at Citizens Bank Park on Tuesday. The only hit Redding allowed
came in the second, when Pedro Feliz singled to center field. After that,
Redding retired 15 of the next 17 batters. Redding managed to pitch so well
despite that fact that it was cold. The game-time temperature was 49
degrees. On Monday, Redding will face the Marlins for the sixth time in his
career. He is 3-0 with a 2.00 against them.

Miller's debut for the Marlins was a rough one, as the 22-year-old ran up a
high pitch count and issued five runs in 4 1/3 innings in a loss to the Mets
at Dolphin Stadium. Working deep into games is a concern for the Marlins,
and Miller has the makings of being a top-of-the-rotation sensation. For now,
he is still learning, and falling behind in counts was a problem against the Mets.
It also gave him trouble for most of Spring Training. Miller used 90 pitches in
his first start.

It's a new week. Does that count? I had a lot to say yesterday, but I bit my tongue. Should I write something a hundred times to get my GD status back to "good to go"? :D

He really didn't pitch in that many games in the minors at all. 16 to be exact. That's pretty crazy.

I better witness the DC Chainsaw Massacre tonight or I might cannibalize my own leg.

I'm thinking it's going to be a 1-0 Nats win in 19 innings.

I'm thinking it's going to be a 1-0 Nats win in 19 innings.

If the Nats don't score at least 4 or 5 in the first 4 innings, everyone in the starting lineup should be sent to Potomac.

A bunch of Capitals are in attendance tonight. I believe Mike Green is throwing out the first pitch.

Marlins announcer:  Bad news for the Marlins, there is one thing the Nationals did bring over from RFK - Ryan Zimmerman.

The HD feed looks decent. The stadium looks a little empty.

Transpose the 48* official game-time starting temp and you get the current temp down here.
