This is a gameday thread, not a "complain about the current state of your favorite sports teams" thread.

And by the way, my teams (in my sig), have done jack **** as well.

LET ME GRIEVEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!

So you think they should be rewarded?

Haha. No. But love-hate relationships are meant for married couples, IMO. Not fans and their teams. Maybe it's just me, though. I'd never boo my teams...unless they were purposely losing.

Remember the 1962 Washington Senators:

Won their first TWO games. 2-0
LOST the NEXT THIRTEEN. 2-13.
It CAN HAPPEN.  It DID HAPPEN.  HERE.

I wouldn't put it past 'em. These guys have already shown that they can lose in many different and innovative ways. It appears Manny is going to wait until it's too late to do anything about it just like last year.  He'd rather just make lame excuses saying that the team will come around and start to come up with big hits and other dumb statements like that.

This headline almost looks like a joke:

1st-place Marlins beat struggling Nationals 10-7 at half-full Nationals Park

The last part is the saddest.

How humiliating.  Just 6 days ago we were riding high on a 3-game winning streak.  Now we are the laughingstock of the baseball world, both locally and nationally. The O's are 5-1 and on a roll. The Fish are in first place.  We are on a NL-leading 5 game losing streak and sitting comfortably in last place.

Now, I'm taking a logic class at the moment, and am pretty sure this is valid:
1. The O's are 5-1.
2. The Marlins are in first.
THEREFORE,
3. Lots of weird things are happening which are definitely VERY temporary.
THEREFORE,
4. Don't panic.

Man, I hate these hard losses as much as the next guy, but you guys really wallow in your misery sometimes... I don't know how some of you make it through a 162-game season

Kind of makes you wonder how they respond to a flat tire.

This is getting hilarious.

I said all this crap about the negativity over a year ago in game threads and I was branded some sort of kool aid drinking happy whore who should shut up and just let people vent.

This isn't Jonestown the Kool-Aid is fine. If people want a throw money around (Pacman Jones for GM) team, root for the Yankees. They won't disappoint.

I don't know why you guys assume that venting over a game extends over into the other 20 hours or so of the day or that they (we) react the same way over everything that doesn't go right with life.

  • Cold Weather
  • Monday Night
  • Mediocre opponent (not really though because FLA is in first)
  • NCAA Championship
  • The team is playing poorly

I don't, I'm trying to keep the middle ground here.  I vent as much as anyone about the games we blow stupidly, I just don't post about it as much as others ;) (not that there's anything wrong with that)

And I wasn't picking on anyone in particular, it's just funny to watch the collective mood swings we all go through on here with every victory and loss.

I loled

I have not beaten my dogs since the Redskins lost in the playoffs. If the Nats lose two more games this week though I'll have to go back to beating them.
