Since Manny conceded this game he better pull out all the stops on Saturday and Sunday to guarantee that we win both games.

I am really not surprised about that lead off double.

It's one thing to have him take one for the bullpen, but unless you are prepared to have him pitch through at least this inning regardless, what's the point.

Bad move by Manny. No need to have Perez start this inning.

He brings in Schroder two innings too late. Perez is garbage. He had an ERA around 6 last year with Kansas City. Was he all of a sudden supposed to cut his ERA in half out of nowhere at the age of 30 this season?

Lucky ground ball hit of course.  Our lucky has been woeful the last two games.  I guess we deserve it for playing so poorly though.

Let's see, JimBo---

OFFENSE:
=======

-Got Wily Mo: Injured
-Got Elijah Dukes: Injured
-Kept Dmitri Young: Injured
-Got Paul Lo Duca: Injured then can't field well and his hitting is nearly non-existant.
-Got Johnny Estrada: Injured

PITCHING---
========

-Got Odalis Perez
-Kept Jesus Colome
-Resigned Ray King

And we really wonder why?

can't believe that lannan did not make this rotation.

If Manny sees himself as a human resource manager for the Dominican Republic, than he should just go manage a team there, and leave.  This team does NOT have a #1 pitcher, and COULD have gotten one in the off season, but chose not to do so.  Perez will NEVER get close to being a #1.

If you run for Team Governor I'll vote you in on that platform.

Good inning Joel. Would it be too much to ask of the offense to score at least 2 or 3 runs to make the game semi-close?

Hanrahan is throwing bullets.

that,my friends, is a DOMINANT fastball.

the question is, how many consecutive innings can he maintain it?  that's going to be the big question with Joel all season.

Perhaps they should let Joel bat for a couple of these guys.
