2008 Spring Training Pics
« Topic Start: March 10, 2008, 11:39:28 PM »
Here are some photos from last week:

Nick faces Loaiza

Kearns at bat

Balester warms up between innings

Debbi Taylor interviews Boone (MASN viewers may have seen this in lieu of on field action)

Randy Knorr works out catchers in minor league camp

Diaz and Castro take BP at minor league camp

John Patterson pitches in accelerated camp following Thursday night rain out
(Notice the flags in distance to see the stiff cross wind)

Marrero at bat (He nutted one off the fence in right-center for a triple through that cross wind)

After his outing, Patterson talks mechanics with JB who appears to be channeling Al Davis in more ways than one

Mike O'Connor faced Patterson

Michael Burgess facing Patterson (Flores was catching JP in this game)

Flores stepping into a big cut

Great pics! I really like Burgess' stance/approach. It looks flawless.

Haven't seen too many Al Davis references lately, but it works.

I am alarmed at the high leg-kick of Flores in that last shot.  It's really easy to mess up a hitter's timing with a leg-kick like that.

I think I'm developing a man-crush on Jesus Flores....

Just like they teach it in Little League... knees pointed to the plate, head still, bat up, shoulders rotate. Perfect.

Great pics! I really like Burgess' stance/approach. It looks flawless.
