a.) The Marlins have absolutely given up.
b.) The Nats suddenly are an offensive machine! 22 runs in the last two games???
c.) Wilson just earned his 5th RBI in the game.  That's gotta be a season record.

I swear, this really IS a surreal game.

Erm...there's no way we can blow this with a grand slam in the 9th, can we?

For the stat-heads among us...am I correct in thinking Preston's 5RBI tonight is a Nats season record?

It would actually take two grand slams and then it would be a one run game (KNOCK ON DA BIGGEST PIECE OF WOOD IN THE WORLD)

Meanwhile, Jimmy Rollins has now hit in 33 straight games.  That's pretty awesome.  I imagine the streak is allowed to carry over to next season?

I've gotta say, this one is a lot of fun.  Doesn't matter, but hey, let's enjoy it.

C'mon Preston! Let's get to 90 tonight!

By the way, I have it on good authority that Ryan Church, Vinny Castilla, Chad Cordero, and Jose Guillen spent the afternoon piping vast quantities of helium into Dolphins Stadium.  I think that explains things tonight.
