Buddies?

I noticed that we can designate buddies. What's a buddy, what does it mean (in Forum terms!)?

To be honest I don't know what it does, and I've never messed with it.  Try it out, and if you break anything we'll just blame the 'roids :lol:

I think I tried it once and all it does is that your buddies show up in bold letters at the bottom of the main page where it says who is online. But don't quote me on it :lol:

I couldn't figure out any other functions by reading the help section. But, after perusing the forum stats, I can see that I need to step up my posting game. I'm among the top topic starters, but not among the top posters. BTW, Nospin's corner ranks as one of the most frequently visited threads. :)
