OK I'll give you that he's fine in his non-stupid roles, but lately it seems like all he does is star in goofy crap similar to (or along with) Will Ferrell.

The only thing I've ever found Will Ferrell funny in were the old SNL celebrity Jeopardy skits, and even then it was mainly because he was the target of ridicule rather than the center of attention.

Talladega Nights, The Sasquatch on Tenacious D, and Dr Steve Brule on Tim and Eric. The man is a genius.

Yeah, I can't stand that goofy stuff. Like Halfsmokes said earlier, once you've seen one Will Ferrell movie you've seen them all.

Stranger than Fiction was kind of very silly.

Nothing wrong with that. It's a solid movie.

I finally saw 'American Gangster' yesterday. Decent but not really my cup of tea. 8.0 rating on IMDB is mighty generous.

Will Ferrel was great back in the day, but the same movies did come out with different titles.

I have to say though, Old School was awesome, Anchorman was awesome, and Step Brothers, to me, was really good. Everything else hes done recently was just, meh.

okay so i'm about to head to bed and want to watch a good flick i haven't seen yet ... here are some of the options on on demand: gone baby gone, apocalypse now or before the devil knows your dead.  they are all around the same time length and i don't care what genre.  just a good flick to watch before i go to bed then it's night time.  i'll have a full movie report on it tomorrow ... k ready go...

Before The Devil Knows You're Dead and Gone Baby Gone are great movies. Apocalypse Now is okay, but it will put you to sleep. I guess it depends on whether you want to pass out before or after the movie is over.

thanks for the response, ronny.  i'm in the minority here, but i actually don't mind the afflecks and i hear gone baby gone is pretty awesome.  but you can't go wrong with phillip seymor hoffman.  and AP NOW I'll probably have to save for another day.

so down to two - Gone Baby Gone and Before The Devil Knows You're Dead.

I just watched Role Models. It had its funny moments, but it was just average on the overall.

Even if you don't end up liking it, the opening scene in Before The Devil Knows You're Dead () makes the whole movie worth it. Most people like the whole movie, though. I did.

If you like him, you should see Gerry. There's never been a movie like that one before.

hmm, only a 6.2 ON IMDB but the plot seems intriguing.

People either love it or hate it. I thought it was awesome. There's one scene from that movie that will stick with me forever. You'll know what I'm talking about if you see it.
