So says a billboard in Waldorf, promoting the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs, an independent minor league baseball team.  Has a nice ring to it!

Yes, Brooks Robinson is co-owner of the team.  I think he's also involved with a team in York PA, the Revolution.  He's a great guy.  Met him on a few occasions.

Do you know what league they are assigned to?  Or are they independent? 

Looks like a cool place to go sometime.

I've been intrigued by the Washington (PA) Wild Things for some time (of the Frontier League). We pass by their stadium on trips to Ohio. Some time we have to time it so that we can stop and attend a game. Gotta love the name! One of their pitchers just had his contract sold to Tampa Bay.

Good for him. They used to show the games on FSN Pittsburgh, not sure if they do anymore.
