It's a shame that Patterson's career year has been hindered so much by poor run support and nagging health problems :(

UPDATE: Still 1-1 going into the 9th at the Brewers-'Stros game.  Milwaukee shut Houston down 1-2-3 in the bottom of the 8th.

Would love to see 'em pull it off tonight.

Hey, you know why Milwaukee is suddenly a promising young team?  Two words for you: DAN KOLB.  Three more: NO LONGER THERE.

Houston wins in the bottom of the 9th on a Jeff Bagwell pinch-hit RBI.

Well...keep in mind that somebody here says that NEARLY EVERY SINGLE GAME.

Until the lineup includes Zimmerman, Short, Schneider, and ABG (Anybody But GUUUZ) all at once with Wilkerson batting lower than 6th, you're going to keep hearing that too.

Damn, Houstonz easy schedule is unfair. But hey, The Marlins and Phillies have monstrous schedules. Sure, glad, we are not them!!

I know Frank "doesn't even know how to turn on a computer" but don't you think someone could look at the number of times we've started this particular lineup and total up the number of runs we've scored in those games.

I'll bet it's not many.

Patterson's always getting sick, sinus infection, bronchitis, what have you, so...  thermometer...  K-mometer.  Oh well, it's dumb but I thought it was relevant ;)

Egad, I fell asleep by the radio (been up since 4:00 this morning when I woke up and couldn't fall back asleep).  I think this is the third time I've accidentally drifted off during a Nats game (once on TV and twice on radio).  I feel like such an old man.

I don't know how long I'll be able to burn the midnight oil for this one (keep going under a bit between pitches) but I'll do what I can.  (never mind, Charlie Slowes answered my question)

From the radio, for what it's worth: Houston wins, Barry Bonds homers.

We've gone 10 batters without a hit.

And, sadly, looking at this lineup, it doesn't surprise me.

Anybody with an ERA under 3 may as well be Nolan Ryan against our lineups
