Whether we win or lose, it makes me feel so much better that we've eliminated the possibility of Peavy embarassing us like he did last time :?

I hate it when the radio replays the earlier scoring plays.  When I'm not paying close attention it sounds as if something actually is happening, and then I get excited for about half a moment before realizing that it's an old play.

Dude, same thing happened to me WATCHING the game here.  I was looking away and they replayed the 1st-inning home run.  I looked back and thought "Oh SH*T."

By the way, I friggin' LOVE being able to actually WATCH this game.  And every game, now that I've left Washington.

How nice: Patterson comes back and is him old self.  We go to seven with the Nats leading 4-1.

Heh, I didn't miss it, I just thought it was funny.  You two are like the odd couple

Who does everyone think will close if we're still leading going into the 9th?

eugh, not "couple", I look at it more as "mentor-student" thing. I think Cheif will close.

By teh way, has anyone else noticed how patient at the plate Wilky's been tonight? Gosh, isnt he the best player ever?

If it's 4-1 or greater, Patterson (if he's still in it).  If not, Cordero.  I just don't think they'd send Tex out four nights in a row.

I had a funny thought. See what you think. Guillen is like the Keystone Kop of the Nationals. The way he keeps getting hit by pitches. Hm. Well, don't get me wrong, I admire Guillen. I think he's a good player, but...but...he's kind of funny too, I think, don't you?

Fanatic, the original "odd couple" were not that kind of "couple" either ;)  I guess you probably don't know the reference.

Anyway all I meant was the two of you are a comically mismatched pair, and it's fun to watch

Just dozed off again.  This is a war against sleep.  I'm in the fifth straight hour of listening to sports on the radio.

Three more for Patts.

I just smelled some smoke. I poked my head out the window and it turns out there's a fire down the street in the alley. God, I live in a screwy neighborhood. NE tween RI and NY Ave.

Guillen reminds me of someone who imagines himself to be bigger than he really is

You know what though? Maybe it's not a fantastic idea to let Patterson pitch the entire game. He is supposed to be doing this four day thing, after all...

oh hell naw, not my Wilky!! I'm mean seriously who else on this "painfully slow" roster could play leadoff half as decent as Wilky or "Bluegrass" has been able to. And he's so damn flexible; Left, Right, Center, and 1B I definetly think everyone here underappreciates Wilky!!

I say sit him and use Carrasco or Eischen in the 8th

EDIT - Eischen or Stanton, let Hector rest some more
