Do you even bother to pay attention to what players do when they aren't playing the Nats?
Ok. Let's look at the Mets/Phillies Top 3 starters over their last 3
Glavine: 0-1 with a 6.11 ERA
Perez: 1-1 with a 4.96 ERA
Maine: 1-1 with a 5.82 ERA (counting today's game)
Hamels: 1-0 with a 2.25 ERA
Kendrick: 2-0 with a 3.00 ERA
Moyer: 0-1 with a 4.42 ERA
You can't be serious that the Mets pitching > Phillies pitching. Yes the Mets rotation was good earlier in the season but not any more. Perez and Maine (today was an exception) have fizzled out and Glavine needs to hang up the cleats because his stuff doesn't fool hitters any more. Hamels and Kendrick are rolling on all cylinders. The Mets bullpen has been woeful for months now while the Phillies bullpen continues to improve.
