But it was more along the lines of working out of a jam and keeping it together....
Bob's got  nothing to lose.  He can about say whatever he wants.  :icon_mrgreen:

But STOP saying "jam job."  They may have told Carpenter now so he could put audition tapes together and talk to other franchises while the front office people are still around.  Did the Cardinals dump him after 10 years?  Also, is it true that Sutton did play-by-play in Atlanta at some point?  Maybe they want him to do that and make Ray Knight the color analyst, (a former hitter and manager.)  I like Carpenter, but that alternative would work too.  I'd be unhappy if they didn't TOP Carpenter in quality.

I like Knight.  I hope they keep him around to continue to do the post/pre game shows. He's also a decent fill-in when one of the announcers has to take some time off.

Yeah but they need a bona fide play-by-play man.

Why does the offense completely SUCK after the first two innings?  Prior to this series usually it was the other way around.  They used to never score early but rather score late.

That's what I posted (after I edited it.)   8)  I knew someone who knew Ray Rhodes when he was the Redksins' defensive coordinator.  He said he didn't want the headaches and anxiety of being a head coach anymore.  Just good pay.)

Why does Langerhans even get an AB?  Pathetic, I've never seen someone strike out looking more than him

I've never seen such a great bullpen in my life.  They are hitting every spot and making our hitters look very foolish

Now 10 consecutive scoreless innings for the Phils' bullpen. losers, At least give a ****ing effort

Now that Peña is a little dinged up we may see the opening day starting lineup for the last game at RFK.

Can't wait!  As if tonight and Friday's games weren't bad enough, Saturday and Sunday's are going to be worse.  We had our top 2 pitchers in these games and still got beat.  The Phils have their 2 best starters going against our 2 worst in the next 2.

Why is pathetic Ayala pitching again?
