No I believe that honor still belongs to Will Cordero.

That's embarrassing from Lopez. He got picked off twice in the same at bat.
How stupid do you have to be to get picked off twice in three throws.  This guy must thing he is superman with lightning talent that has lost speed and power.  What an idiot!!!!  Lopez is the kind of guy that was so talented in HS that he never had to work at it.  Now that he is challenged by other great athletes, he is frustrated that his "greatness" just does not win out.  That attitude keeps him from really looking at his deficiencies to get better.  It is like a kid in junior high who gets A's without studying and go to High School and suddenly has trouble getting A's because his skills at studying are horrible.  I think this is why Felipe has failed to improve over his 4-5 years in the majors.

Not to stray from your point (because I think you may be right) but this is exactly why a lot of pitchers are afraid to throw strikes when they get to the show.

Do not walk Conine, Matt!  If he gets a hit, he gets a hit.  Don't give him a free base.

great 1-2-3 inning for Chico.

Are we really goin go tha whole season without a complete game from one of our pitchers?

Now that's how you make use of the pitcher at-bat, first at-bat of the inning!

Even though the starting pitching was bad the first two games of the series it was fun to watch the Nats play good baseball no errors(except for Redding's overthrow), no stupid plays on the base paths, etc...
Watching Lopez get picked off after getting a break on an umpire call is the kind of baseball that ruined this team early in the year and in August when Lopez went downhill.  I swear we would be in the playoff hunt if Guzman and Belliard had been our up the middle tadum.  I think Lopez overall bad playing has cost us 10 games this year.

And on our side, the pitchers is the #3 batter.  That's the perfect place for the pitcher to bat.
