I knew this was going to happen with Dimitri, he is 5 plate appearances away from qualifying for the batting title with 501 plate appearances.  With tonight's game he is at 496.  I wonder if he is out for the season.  That would be fitting for the luck of this team.
I did not see the injury.   Did it look bad?

Not at all. Took a bad hop on the noggin and got a headache out of it. He'll play in the next series.

Thanks, I just saw the replay of the grounder hitting his head.  Luckily he has all that hair!

Jimenez going for the cycle!  This would be great to have Lopez sit for awhile.

Because there is NO way a one-run lead holds up! We need every run we can get.

Wow..this took me a LONG time. I had never done the whole photoshop thing before. I was bored, though. Too bad I couldn't get it to look like I had it the first time. I tried to be too fine :(

Manny must be thinking, "god only two more weeks of this crap!"
I hope he has a long vacation planned to get the effects of this season from his memories.

What is wrong with Zimmerman?  He is like Jekyll and Hyde both at the plate and the field.  Sometimes his discipline at the plate is impeccable other times he looks like my son in a little league game.  He has played in over 300 major league games.  Using his age as an excuse doesn't work.  I just wonder if he has what it takes to become an elite player.  He was a better overall player last year as a rookie.

I think it's funny that the Redskins game will be telecasted simultaneously on channel 20.

I had to go back to May 17th to find a Nats victory where we carried a one run lead into the seventh and kept the other team from scoring in the last three innings also against Atlanta a 4-3 win.

I guess if Jimenez and Fick can hit HR's, Rauch and Cordero might be able to do their jobs.  It is amazing that the bullpen which was amazing for June and July and early August has just been inconsistent and in some games awful.  It has seem to affect all the pitchers especially Ayala and Colome.
