^ It used to toss the ball up and down. I almost nominated that one for Best Avatar but NOTLD has had several good ones and I thought he deserved the nod.

Olivo is the easiest guy in the league to KO and Hanrahan gave him a pitch to for a HR!
Unbelievable!!

And Saul does what Saul does.. first pitch he throws is hit for a double.  He always does that.

Why in the **** didn't Manny put in Chad??  Chad hasn't pitched much lately

Chad would have delivered a walk off home run on the first pitch.

You have to press CTL-F5 every once in a while to get the ball to continue going up and down.  It's the only thing that works.

That is what Nook Logan should have been trying to do!
A fitting way to lose the game.

the ol' reliable Saul... Manny's fault for refusing to bring in our closer though.  What was he waiting for?  I guess he wants to save Chad for the weekend when we won't need him because we will be getting blown out.  stupid managing

We lost the series to the Marlins. I wonder how their schedule measures with ours.

I wouldn't be surprised if we finished in last at this point.  We should have swept this series.  Yesterday our pitching was brutal but our offense was relatively decent.  Today our pitching was better but our offense was putridly embarrassing, partially due to Manny putting out a little league lineup.  We won't win a game the rest of the season with this type of uninspiring and effortless play.

Pretty typical, though.  Don't use your "best" pitcher in the most critical situations, instead save him for a "close".  Managers really lag behind stats geeks on this one.

What was so bad about our lineup?  Jiminez for Lopez, that's a wash.  Everybody's been crying about benching Lopez anyway, right?  Church and Langerhans for Kearns and Logan, that's not much different.  Okay, so Schneider vs. Flores is a step down, but Brian's our normal starter, so not sure where the little league lineup comes from.

Kearns, who is hitting the best on team was benched for Langerhans who can't hit .180 in the Majors.
I was OK with giving Young the day off but Fick shouldn't have started.  Batista should have.
Jimenez is god awful but yes Felipe is worse.  It's really a shame JB didn't call up Castro from AAA.
Schneider had no business starting today.  Day game after a night game.  Flores is better anyways.

Church is an upgrade over Logan, though.

I do agree on that today, but I think it all depends on the rest of the lineup out there when comparing those two.

I heard the Nats lost in 12 but the thing that jumped out at me on the first post was Church in clean up.   That seems so unusual compared to what's been going on recently.
