There is something wrong with this team tonight.  Some kind of weirdness that's made everybody bad.
If you watch this team every day they have been playing like this for over a month.  Even in their victories they are generally sloppy with their defense, baserunning, patience at the plate.  What has generally saved them is their pitching, good play off the bench and some timely hitting especially Pena adding some offense.  Lopez has gone completely in the tank since Aug 5th which has really put a hole in our defense and the lineup batting 2nd most of the time.

LOPEZ IS A COMPLETE DISASTER and a CANCER on this TEAM.

Nationals 8
Marlins 11

Fortunately, we are facing one of the worst pitching staffs in baseball and THE worst fielding team in baseball.

On the other hand this seems a lot like a...

How long before the "worse loss of the season" talk begins?
I'd put it in the top 10 of most embarrassing losses of the season.  Scoring 8 runs should be a guaranteed WIN, especially when facing a last place team.  Giving up 17 hits and 11 runs is a HUGE embarrassment.  Our Bullpen and pitching in general used to be rock solid.  We played a lot of 4-2, 3-1 type of games.  Now we have succumbed to our competition and are playing like crap.  Poor defense, inept pitching and spotty offense (not really the case in this game).

Our entire pitching staff should be ashamed of themselves.

what an embarrassment.. Our bullpen SUCKS.  SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS.  The Marlins scored in 7 out of 8 innings tonight.  That is such an effing joke.

You have about 35 games in that list. If it is going to be a loss, it'll definitely go into the top 80.

lmao.. Do they even care? Do they have any pride at all? Coincidence that Schneider's first game back is this disaster?  We were doing just fine with Jesus.

This is definitely THE worst pitching performance of the season, even worse than the 15-1 loss to the Tigers.

Can you really have the wort loss of the season when it means virtually nothing? I think the meaning of the game has to factor into these ratings. Bottom line is, though, a loss is a loss.

The worst pitching performance assertion is based solely on the way they pitch, regardless of when the game is played.

And this was THE WORST PITCHING PERFORMANCE OF THE SEASON!

This is unbelievable...

Even in a game like this, the umpires will screw us in the 9th inning.

I'd say 14th worst, at best.
