Matt Chico's demotion to Triple-A Columbus on Friday means that Bacsik will be back
in the rotation after spending five days as a long reliever. In his last start on Aug. 12,
Bacsik had nothing in the tank. Bacsik lasted four innings and gave up five runs on
eight hits against the D-backs. Arizona scored the first two runs in the first inning on
RBI singles by Conor Jackson and Mark Reynolds. The D-backs used the long ball to
get to Bacsik in the third inning. Eric Byrnes hit a home run and -- three batters later
-- Reynolds hit a two-run homer.

Williams turned in his third straight quality start, beating his old Padres team on Friday
with seven strong innings. Williams allowed one run on six hits, striking out four in a
95-pitch outing. The 41-year-old right-hander has allowed four runs over his last three
starts and has pitched at least six innings in eight of his last nine starts. Williams last
faced the Nationals in Washington on July 16. He took the loss after yielding four runs
over six innings.

We have to whip around Woody tonight. He is very mediocre at this point in his career.

Yeah, it sucks. Hopefully the offense gives him some confidence.

Felipe tried to stretch a double into a triple, out by a damn mile.

Lopez hit a booming shot off the wall in left center and it looked like a surefire double yet as the ball was being thrown in he darted towards 3rd where he was thrown out by a freaking mile.

If we lose by one run, it's Felipe's head.

Actually, FSN Houston just said D'Angelo was 10-20 lifetime with 3 HR against Williams.  Put Jimenez in!
