Thanks alot Phillies

Brett Myers gave up 2 runs in the 9th tonight in a tie game to give the Marlins the win.  If Florida lost we would have been in 4th place up by a game over them.  I can't wait to sweep Philly at RFK next week.

Maybe so and I was sick about the blown save that led to the loss but Chief wound up getting 2 saves since so maybe it's time to cut him a break.

You guys remember when we had posters with avatars of our players with X's crossed over their pictures?  :lol: I thought they were funny. I don't get why people got so uptight about something as petty as that.

Meh ... we're still in 4th and a loss means were are closer to the phils in the standings - sweeping them next week would literally make me stupidly happy - first things first though - AZ is a first place team - we take the series there and we'll really have something to crow about and then it really won't matter what the fish do ... they're cratering ... and the Nats are playing really well - just a matter of time before we pass them and leave them in our dust ...

Well, the Orioles are down by 3 in the 8th. If they lose, we'll be ahead of them again.

Not the same but something...

Also we're teetering on the brink of being the top non-playoff-contending team.  We're tied with Florida and a game behind St. Louis.  If we pass St. Louis we'll be the top team, more than 3 games out of the NL Wild Card race!

Pittsburgh and Arizona are tied 2-2 at the end of the 4th.

Let's hope there is no more run-scoring for about 3 hours!

BTW ... BBTN showed 7 seconds of the Nats - not a highlight mind you - just a boxscore - ravech (HATE this guy) says ... btw way, the Nats won today - barry bonds did pinch hit, but he flied out ...

When Tim's on ... he always says good things about the Nats ... Krukie's pretty good - he loves the Meat Hook ...
