Dagger!

Had to have the split against one of the lesser teams.

Way to go Nats.

And, big day for Felipe!

Great job Chief!! I'll take a 2-2 split on the road any day.  Props to Joel for his 2nd straight win and Felipe's great hitting.  :worship:

Series split, not what i had hope for but I'll take it.

Just caught the highlights on SC, how about Nooks diving catch?! He is so sick. I take great gratification in knowing that I was the lone and vocal supporter of Logan when all of you were bashing him ruthlessly and now that he is hitting well and earned a spot at the top of the lineup I would like to toot my own horn!

Felipe was unconscious at the plate in this series.

Nook was good for 2 hits per game.

You deserve to toot my friend.  I'm VERY glad to see him becoming more effective at the plate.  his speed can be HUGE down the stretch!

OH, another good thing....Carpenter mentioned that the Nats haven't lost 2 consecutive games in about 2 or 3 weeks.  I like that stat right there.  Limiting losing streaks is nice!

Since July 25th, the second game in the Philly series.  If our outfield had caught a routine fly out in the 9th, the streak would go back to July 15th, the last game in the Marlins series, right after the All-Star break.

You guys ever read through one of these threads after the game is over?  One would think we were getting killed rather than winning a 3-1 game where the only real problem was that the starter put too many people on base and threw too many pitches.

Things always seem obvious in hindsight.
